Posted For You

Every month I end up making a stack or two of birthday cards and a stack or two of customer thank you cards. This month I decided to get two things done at once, and created this card that would suit both purposes. The Posted For You stamp set made it easy to add some extra detail to the design, and I love how easy it was to color the flower with blends!

Here's a look at both the birthday and "just a note" version which I'll use for thank you cards.

The punch adds some simple texture to the feature piece, and I'm loving the juxtaposition of Scalloped Linen ribbon and linen thread.

By embossing and layering the stamped sentiments and details, I added even more texture to this DSP, which has texture for days!

If you'd like to make your own cards, click on the images below to be taken directly to my online store where you can get all the supplies I used here! Tomorrow the store will undergo a major update, so these links may not work anymore, but they should still take you to the online store.

Anytime you place an order in my online store and use the host code on the right, you will also get a free tutorial bundle! Just use the host code on the right and I'll send you a code you can use at my online store to pick any tutorial up to $20 in value!

Hop Schweiz!

Today is August 1, which is Swiss National Day, a holiday I usually celebrate with my Swiss family. Learn more about it here: Swiss National Day

I wanted to make a simple card with lots of red and white when I discovered these plus signs in the Playful Alphabet dies that worked perfectly to make some flags! Reminds me of one of my favourite jokes.

Roger Federer is doing an interview, and the interviewer asks "what's your favourite thing about living in Switzerland?" Roger replies "well, the flag is a big plus!"

Here's my card, with bonus garland!

A closer look to show off the shimmer from Wink of Stella...

And another angle to show how awesome the foam adhesive sheets are. One pass through the die cutter and all of this is done and ready to adhere!

I didn't actually use a lot of supplies for this card, take a look at them below and click on any of them to be taken directly to my online store:

Christmas in July Blog Hop

I've had the past month to look at the new August - December "Holiday" Mini Catalogue and I can't hold my excitement back anymore! Along with my blog hopping friends, we decided to host a Christmas in July hop. While the catalogue won't go live for customers until August 4, any demonstrator, including those who join now, can pre-order a month ahead of time! This is one of my favourite things about being a demo for sure.

After hemming and hawing for a while, I decided to use the Little Treats bundle and make this sweet little treat container, perfect for slipping in a chocolate or other treat for someone special around the holidays. One of the things I love about this bundle is that it's not just Christmas! You also get images and sentiments for Halloween, Birthdays, and Weddings, so you can share a treat for any occasion.

Of course I had to make a card to match, and I love how this one turned out!

Take another look at both my projects, and then hop along to see what everyone else did! Don't forget to leave them some comments!

I'd love to share a shopping list with you, but this catalogue isn't live yet so the products aren't available yet! If you'd like a copy of the catalogue and/or to get your order ready to place on August 4, drop me an email and we'll get you sorted.

Anytime you place an order in my online store and use the host code on the right, you will also get a free PDF tutorial! You'll be able to pick from a wide variety of tutorials I've published over the years, including past technique classes, tutorial bundles, and other fun projects.

I needed a stack of thank you cards but was lacking inspiration today. Good friends to the rescue though! Just as I was about to despair my friend @suwendylee shared a beautiful card that I knew I could recreate. I changed the colors and paper, added a few touches of my own, and here we are! How do you take inspiration from others? #craftygram #forevergreenery #copyandshareeverything #CraftyMedic #StampinUp #StampinUpCanada #StampinUpDemo #StampinUpDemonstrator #cardmaking #handmadecards #scrapbooking #papercrafts #craftsupplies via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CDAUQSQJvLD/

Boho Indigo Feature

When I first saw the Boho Indigo product medley I knew I had to have it! I love the idea of product medleys, they're a great way to get a 'kit' feeling where everything coordinates but you can let your creativity run free! There's always some gorgeous extras you just don't get in suites, like the gold edged labels from this medley.

I had to make a stack of birthday cards this month because I was already running behind. So I picked a card sketch at random (literally, I have them all numbered and ran a random number generator to pick), pulled out the medley and some other bits and pieces I wanted to use, then went crazy! Here's what I came up with...

Each card is unique, but they all use the same basic supplies and layout. It was easy to prep all the pieces and create an assembly line for myself too! Here's the whole stack I ended up with...

Take a look at the gallery below to see what some of my friends have done with this medley! You can even click through to see their posts about it.

If you'd like to make these cards, or any projects, for yourself with this medley and still need to order it, click on any of the products I used below to be taken directly to my online store. Don't forget to use the host code on the right!
