More new cards

I've been working up a storm in between shifts at work, making lots and lots and LOTS of cards. I made some cute baby cards (16 cards out of 4 sheets of patterned paper!). There's four basic designs, but each one is totally different. These are the girl ones, I don't have any boy paper yet, so I'll share those once I make them. I'm also working on some coordinating thank you cards.

Also in the works were these card sets. I used the one sheet wonder pattern from Joyfully Made Designs to start and then built each card up with layers of coloured card stock, embossed card stock, jewels, ribbon, pearls and of course, stamping. Each set is totally different and each card is unique as well.

Whew... this is getting to be a long and picture heavy post! I have some more stuff to share though! There was some individual cards as well...

As you can tell I've been on quite the butterfly kick. I've been making sets of embellishments for the craft show, as well as some cards similar to one I made for a friend not long ago. These are still waiting for sentiments, but I'll share them anyway! The quality isn't quite as good as I took these on my phone. You can see how the different layers of the layered butterfly punch from EK Tools come out though.

Purely by accident, I came up with this neat card too. I like it because there's a ton of space to write inside, but it still fits into a normal sized envelope! Perfect for that 'not quite a card but not quite a letter' occasion. It's all tied together with some bakers twine. I'll be making some more of these, planned this time, because I liked it so much. It could also easily hold a couple of photos along with some more embellishment on the inside, but I decided to leave this one blank for a love letter!

And last but not least, my attempt at making a mini-album. This was way too finicky for me, so I probably won't make any more. Maybe if I find an easier pattern? For now the plan is to hold onto it until I find something better to do with it... More bakers twine here too, I'm starting to like the stuff!

That's all for today! I'll post more hopefully next week when I have some time off to get back to crafting. Have a great weekend!

More craft show goodies

I've been tucking away still at making things for the craft show! I don't know what I'm going to do once I'm done though, hopefully by then I'll have a job...

Anyway, remember those piles of post it holders I took photos of a while back? It's probably the post before this one... Well most of those are decorated now, and they're SO CUTE! There's about 50 all together I think, and each of them is different. Whew!

There's also about 50 mini post it keychains (once they're all done there will be closer to 100). There's some doubles here though, there just isn't enough space on these little cuties to do something totally different for each one. There's still some nice variety though!

Last but not least, bookmarks! I saw this idea on Pinterest (where else?) and loved it, so I made a few. And a few turned into a lot... But they're super cheap to make (and sell) so they should go well at the show!

My next big project is going to be packaging everything and getting things put away in totes until November! I have a few sets of gift tags to make too... like 100?

Production Line

I've been a crafting machine this last little while. I just keep churning out cute things in preparation for the Craft Show (which is happening November 24 & 25 for the locals, be there or be square!). This is one of my many totes of 'stuff' that I haul around when I'm crafting.

I've actually organized it a bit better since I took the photo, but you can see finished products and materials for several projects here. Cards, notebooks, pens, two sizes of sticky note holders... and I think there's some paper clips buried in there too. My table is just as bad...

This is my sticky note holder layout. I have my work area on the far left, my first cutter with paper odds and ends on it, the put together but not yet decorated holders, and then the decorated holders on cutter number two. I use two cutters because one has a better ruler on it (the other one makes it hard to cut 1/4" sections) but the other one has a score blade. I also use the little trimmer up at the top right of the photo a lot.

Here's a photo of one of the decorated holders, as well as one of the stack of them just because I think it looks pretty!

The little flowers on there I made with an old Creative Memories punch. They're so cute, I used them on some notebooks too (and speaking of notebooks, check out some of the new ones!)

I also used them on these little bits. These are all going to be turned into sticky note holders for the smaller size. They'll actually be keychains when I'm all done with them (which will be never if Staples doesn't get a shipment of the rings in). The raindeer and santa from Spoon Graphics have made another appearance here too!

Last but not least, I've been making embellishments. I actually punched out so many flowers in the past day that my finger is numb and tingly (yes both at the same time, don't ask how that's possible). But everything is turning out so cute and pretty! I'm super excited about all of these things and what people can do with them!

Well that's it for now! I'm keeping up a fairly good pace making things, so I'm hoping to keep up the blog post pace too!
