Pride 2020 Blog Hop

Welcome to my Pride 2020 Blog Hop! Some of you may have seen my #stampingdiversity posts before, and this is a fun way to share that and have a virtual Pride parade around the world! I've invited many of my demonstrator friends to take part, so don't forget to check out everyone else's posts at the end and leave them some comments as well.

My project was inspired by the awesome rainbow glimmer paper I just got. I saw this and knew I had to make something bright for Pride with it! I paired die cut letters popped up on foam adhesive sheets with critters built from the Hippo Happiness stamp set to bring a light uniqueness and color in too.

I mean a uni-hippo? How cute is that! Here's a look at how I built the backgrounds too...

What a super easy way to add a pop of color, glimmer, glitz, or patterns to your cards! Let's see what everyone else has made, click along to the other participants to see and leave them some happy comments!

If you'd like to recreate this card yourself, click the button below for the recipe and a shopping list! Don't forget to use my host code if you're shopping from Canada.

Anytime you place an order in my online store and use the host code on the right, you will also get a free PDF tutorial! You'll be able to pick from a wide variety of tutorials I've published over the years, including past technique classes, tutorial bundles, and other fun projects.

Sketch Challenge #1

I've been running challenges over on my Facebook group "Creating with The Crafty Medic" for a while now, and I thought I'd open it up to my blog readers too! Today I posted a sketch challenge, which is always great fun. Here's a look at the sketch...

And here's my take on it! I love the Forever Greenery suite, and some white on white texture with gold accents just makes it pop don't you think?

To participate in the challenge, post your project link below (you have until Monday July 6 at 8am Pacific) and then vote on your favourite projects! Voting will continue for a week and then I'll feature the winner with my next challenge on July 13.

If you'd like to recreate this card yourself, here's a quick shopping list of the items I used...

Anytime you place an order in my online store and use the host code on the right, you will also get a free tutorial bundle! Just use the host code on the right and I'll send you a code you can use at my online store to pick any tutorial up to $20 in value!

One of my favourite quick and easy techniques is to use markers to color in images. Rehydrate the ink before stamping by breathing in it and you’re images will pop! If you live this technique too, head over to “Creating with the Crafty Medic” to post your creation using it and you will be entered for a prize! #craftygram #tipsandtechniques #quicktips #creatingwiththecraftymedic #craftymediccreativechallenge #CraftyMedic #StampinUp #StampinUpCanada #StampinUpDemo #StampinUpDemonstrator #cardmaking #handmadecards #scrapbooking #papercrafts #craftsupplies via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CB51af1nsY-/

Today was a big day for Canada Post! I sent out all my team achiever packets, customer thank you, and a bunch of challenge and event prizes. Took two trips to drop everything off! Among them were these notecards I made for my team achievers. I love how they turned out! So much texture and depth, and they’re all different because of the amazing gold laser cuts. #raincoastcrafters #craftygram #CraftyMedic #StampinUp #StampinUpCanada #StampinUpDemo #StampinUpDemonstrator #cardmaking #handmadecards #scrapbooking #papercrafts #craftsupplies via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CByY6BzJ23r/

June Stamping Around the World Blog HOp

I can't believe it's been 18 months of Stamping Around the World! With the catalogue launch this month, I was very excited to showcase some new products. Ever get in that zone when you get new stuff and you just sit down and create non-stop until you fall asleep? No? Just me... ok well this is some of what I came up with...

The In Good Taste Suite is just so full of great textures I just couldn't stop! The paper is to die for, the stamps have great sayings with a lovely flow script, and the wood elements add a nice rustic-ness to is (yep now I'm making up words).

Take a look at what everyone else has done for the blog hop below...

Anytime you place an order in my online store and use the host code on the right, you will also get the Stamping Around the World tutorial bundle for free! This is a bundle of 12 projects designed by demonstrators around the world, complete with detailed photos, step by step instructions, and supply lists. Here's a sneak peek at this month's bundle...
