Welcome to a new blog hop feature! Once a month we'll be featuring a new technique or tool and share different ways to use it. This month we're featuring watercoloring and it's various interpretations.
Take a look at the card I used this technique on...
Now let's break down the steps to make it! First things first you're going to want to emboss an image onto watercolor paper. I used gold embossing powder here but you can use any color you'd like.
Then you want to thoroughly soak down the paper, you want it to sit on the surface of the paper.
Then you're going to start adding color! I used a water painter with three different colors and just tap it into certain areas of the image, allowing it to bleed and soak around the paper and outside the lines.
And now without further ado, let's check out some more watercolor techniques....

ReplyDeleteWow, I love the heat resist watercolour technique too, and you have really done a terrific job using it in this beautiful card Stephanie. I didn't really pay much attention to the Treasured Medallion Bundle, but this card really sparks my interest. Thanks for inspiring.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning - fabulous job
